these djembes were made in the Ivory Coast and are rebuilt
by me and Bouba Fnu. They were personally selected and
sent to me by the master drummer Madou
Dembele for resale. These drums cannot be
compared to other inexpensive drums selling on E-bay.

we've spent on getting each one to sing.
Real
Ivory Coast djembes have a ledge carved for the bottom
ring to make sure it stays centered, a great design
when you need to rehead the drum. The bearing edge is
nicely curved so that it is more comfortable to play
resulting in less bruised hands. The inside of the stem
is carved smooth and not rough like in other inexpensive
djembes.
You
will be hard pressed to find another Ivory Coast drum
with the same work that has been done to my drums for
the same price. I guarantee that this djembe is meant
to be played and is NOT a decorative drum.
