Yost and I created this 2nd CDROM of West African rhythms.
There are 5 rhythms on the CDROM, each of them divided
into their separate parts and each part played in two
different speeds, slow and fast. Each part is played
with its corresponding djembe pitch (high, medium or
low). The videos are twice as long as our previous CDROM.
Each video contain the notation and hand placement on
the bottom part of the screen. The videos are in split
screen so you will have two different perspectives.
All videos are in MPEG format .
There are 2 extra videos for each rhythm.
Each rhythm has a “MIXED” video. We rendered
all the video parts for the djembe in a multi screen
video and you will see how each part compliment each
other. The mixed video has nice stereo separation: the
low djembe in the center, the medium on the left channel
and the high on the right channel. Sounds great with
headphones.
